Surgery and All That Goes On

Many consultations and preoperative appointments have to be kept. There is a physical exam to be sure you can withstand the anesthesia and to screen for any health conditions that may interfere with the surgery. The day of the operation you are prepped and part of that may include a urinary catheter be placed once you are under the anesthesia. The person in charge of your anesthesia will be monitoring your oxygen levels and breathing for you throughout the surgery. It is a finely choreographed event.
