How do you choose a real estate agent when you are selling your home? Here are three tips to help you.

1. Find one that sells homes similar to yours. Look in the newspaper ads that the brokers put out to see which agent has several listings similar to yours. An agent that sells the same kind of properties will ore likely know the market you are targeting.

2. Leave a message. Leave a message with a few different agents to see which ones return your calls promptly. If they are slow to call back, they might also be slow to call back potential buyers.

3. Find one you like. It may seem irrelevant whether you like the agent or not, but it isn’t. A good relationship will make everything smoother, and make the agent more interested in looking out for your best interest.
