I Wasn’t Expecting Anything

July 18, 2009 on 11:58 am | By admin | In Reference | No Comments

I just found out last week that my great-uncle died. I barely knew him, but for some reason I am being asked to settle his affairs. I heard that he had a will, so I called his lawyer to find out about executing it. He wouldn’ t even talk to me until I’d produced a death certificate. So I printed one out from the Texas state death records. After that, things went pretty smoothly. The lawyer produced a copy of the will and we went over it with his family. Surprisingly, he even left me a little bit of money. I wasn’t even expecting anything.
