Number of Races in the NASCAR Schedule

If you want to be a professional race car driver, you need to be prepared for a quite grueling schedule.  This is not some sport to get into if you think that you are only going to be doing it for 12 – 14 weeks each year.  This sport is close to being a year round business.  The Nascar Schedule goes for a total of forty one weeks each year. That leaves only eleven weeks of the year off from racing. The drivers compete in 36 races during that time period.  The races are spread out from Daytona to Phoenix and north to New Hampshire.
